LEGENDS OF ADTECH

Episode 18: Could faster cashflow unlock adtech’s next growth wave?

Chris Pettit, CEO at Revving

Welcome to Legends of Adtech: the podcast where we go beyond the buzzwords and straight to the people at the coalface of the adtech industry. Every two weeks, we sit down with the industry’s boldest thinkers, pioneers, and disruptors, to find out how they’re rewriting the game. This is their story.

Adtech has spent years making advertising faster, smarter and more automated. So why are businesses still waiting 60, 90 or even 120 days to get paid? As payment terms continue to stretch, cashflow is becoming one of the industry's biggest barriers to growth, yet it's a challenge that rarely gets the attention it deserves.

In this episode of Legends of Adtech, Julia is joined by Chris Pettit, CEO and Co-founder of Revving, to explore the hidden cost of "paid on paper", why delayed payments are holding businesses back, and what founders, CFOs and industry leaders can do to unlock growth by putting cashflow at the heart of their strategy.

About Chris Pettit

Chris has over 20 years’ experience working as a financier, lawyer and entrepreneur in the technology, media and entertainment sectors. He has worked on more than 100 deals across film, TV, music and gaming. He was also instrumental in the introduction of the film rebate scheme in Mauritius where he spent three years working alongside the Prime Minister, the Mauritian government and the Mauritian board of investment to create a ground-breaking policy and investment framework for the audio-visual sector.

After meeting his Revving cofounder while working for a large media investment firm, they soon realised the need for a fairer payment system across the gaming industry - but also the wider digital media industry. In his role as CEO of Revving, a fintech revolutionising factoring across the media supply chain, Chris is striving to break the late payment bottleneck that stifles so much innovation in the industry. Outside of the day job, Chris is a keen skier, cricketer, England rugby and Tottenham Hotspur (football) fan.

Revving is a leading fintech scale-up revolutionising access to working capital funding via a revolutionary, transactional-based funding model. Using a proprietary technology platform with direct integrations to digital platforms and marketplaces, the company leverages granular transaction data to offer an industry-first financial solution for the entire digital economy, enabling instant access to funding. Revving is headquartered in London, UK, and Barcelona, Spain.
